Ptaah met with a panel of Plejaren researchers to determine what are the best safety measures in daily life to prevent a Corona virus infection. Staying safe and taking logical precautions helps you to prevent an infection, these were their recommendations:
1) The burden on the overall health care system should be kept to a minimum and therefore not overburdened.
2) Appropriate adaptation to the corona epidemic situation is essential and should therefore be observed, whereby these adaptations require in particular to remain as well as possible in one’s own living and housing area and to separate oneself personally as well as possible from normal contact with other persons outside this area.
3) If separation from other persons is not possible for important reasons, then a necessary distance of at least two (2) metres from them is essential, as is the wearing of a suitable and appropriate protective mask.
4) Persons suffering from illnesses and diseases or otherwise suffering from a weakened immune system must be careful not to come into close contact with persons living outside their own living and home environment, also in relation to their external circle of family, friends and acquaintances, because only in this way can a limited protection against the Corona virus be achieved.
5) In order to maintain and care for the private environment and external family life, direct contact should be avoided, but – if necessary and unavoidable – only maintained at a distance of 2 metres and, under certain circumstances, only with the wearing of a protective mask.
99. a) As far as possible, contact and communication with family members and relatives living outside the personal living area, as well as with persons who are friends or acquaintances, should only be maintained by telephone, mobile phone, e-letter, chats or radio, etc.
6) Visits to hospitals and other care facilities should be strictly avoided.
7) With regard to personal hygiene, it is to be strictly ensured that this is also of great importance and adhered to during the separation period, which also includes correct hand washing and hand disinfection with absolutely chemical-free soaps or other cleaning agents.
102. Chemical products damage the skin, penetrate through the pores into the body and damage the organs, even causing cancer, etc.
8) When coughing and sneezing, it is important that this is not done into the hands, but into the crook of the elbow or into special handkerchiefs and nasal tissues.
9) Also in one’s own living quarters, care must be taken to keep a sufficient distance from the other residents living in the household if they are suffering from symptoms of illness, such as fever, coughing, feeling unwell, sneezing fits or flu, etc.
10) If a person becomes seriously ill in his or her own living and living area, then care must be taken to ensure that spatial separation can take place; regular airing of all rooms in the living and living area should also be part of the daily routine.
11) With regard to food procurement, care should be taken to shop only at times when there are few customers in the shops, and to visit shops only when absolutely necessary and only rarely; and if so, then only if appropriate protective masks are worn and the necessary distance is kept from other persons.
a) As you said and as you practise it yourself, there is the possibility as a solution – in order not to have to leave the personal living area for the purchase of the necessary food – to call sales and transport companies in order to have food delivered by telephone call or internet against prepayment or invoice to the doorstep, where the goods are deposited without coming into contact with the delivery persons.
12) Unavoidable contacts with persons living outside one’s own living and residential area should only take place at a sufficient distance, whereby touching such as shaking hands or hugging should be taboo.
13) Outdoor recreation alone, such as walking around outside, going for a walk or doing sports, can of course be allowed if the distance rule of a 2-metre distance to other persons is observed and, if the situation requires it, a suitable protective mask is worn.
110. a) … walks can also be taken in twos or threes, if persons from the personal living environment are involved, if they are harmless in terms of health.
14) Helping fellow human beings in the neighbourhood of one’s own living and residential area, as well as elderly or sick family members living outside, as well as elderly or sick neighbouring persons who need help, is also to be considered, in order to supply them with food, etc., under certain circumstances.
In the case of neighbouring persons – except in the case of family members in need of help – all necessary precautions should be taken not to enter their living quarters, but to leave the food to be delivered and purchases of daily necessities etc. outside the door of the flat.
15) Private meetings with outside persons should not be organised and therefore refrained from, also with regard to any celebrations, such as birthday parties, play dates for children or adults, film evenings, sporting or group events and leisure activities, etc.
114. Such activities should only be carried out with the persons living in the household.
16) In the case of illnesses, also in the case of children, visits to the doctor may be unavoidable, but such visits should be arranged by telephone before going to the doctor.
17) If psychological problems occur, then telephone offers from hotlines of psychological services should be taken up and, if necessary, an arrangement for a visit to a psychologist or psychiatrist should be made by telephone.
18) If there are unavoidable visits to the doctor or other necessities in order to attend any agreed visits or meetings, then no public transport should be used, only own transport:
Car, bicycle or on foot.
However, if only public transport is possible, then it should be used only according to all safety rules:
Keep your distance, wear protective masks, do not touch other people.
19) Travel of any kind for pleasure, such as holidays, weekends etc. should be avoided.
Travel of any kind is to be avoided as far as possible.
20) If public transport has to be used on the way to daily work, then suitable protective masks for the mouth and nose are to be worn.
21) In a public space, a meeting should take place with a maximum of only one other person, and in accordance with safety rules, at a distance and wearing a protective mask if necessary.
22) Crowds of persons should be avoided.
23) Public institutions of any kind, such as offices, authorities, police, administrations, insurance companies and other institutions should only be visited when necessary.[F1]
