Brief overview:
Glutathione is equivalent to a tripeptide that the body innately produces in sufficient quantities under normal conditions. Tripeptide are peptides composed of three amino acid residues and belong to the group of oligopeptides. Glutathione acts as an all-round cellular defence against the consequences of oxidative stress. Without Glutathione the cells disintegrate through unhindered oxidation, and no defence against acids and toxins produced in the mitochondria during metabolism. [F1]

Uses and Benefits:
Glutathione can be used to detoxify the body from aluminium and other toxins. The effectiveness of glutathione is based on its ability to bind to heavy metals and toxins and form a water-soluble complex, which is excreted by urination. [F1]

When do we need it?
If the heavy metals and other toxin loads are high in the body, then glutathione innately produced is not sufficient, and must be supplied to the organism by supplement. These supplements could be called effective and vital building blocks for the entire organism instead a food supplement. [F1]
