Overview:
One of the most important safety precautions in a Corona Virus Pandemic is to wear an appropriate Respiratory Mask.
Mechanism of Action:
Breath droplet infections spread when moisture comes from the mouth and nose as very fine droplets of breath or aerosols. These expand to 1/2 meter and can be inhaled by persons standing close by.
On cold days, the breath from the mouth condenses, and so expiratory droplet-breath becomes visible in the air like small clouds of mist from the mouth and nose. The same happens on warm days, even though you can’t see it.
Condensing breath-droplets occur in humans, but also in certain animals.
Infectious contact can also occur through the coughing and sneezing of infected persons or dogs and cats, because pets can also be carriers of the corona virus. Also, contact infection or smear infection with the viruses on objects, body surfaces, food or other things on which infectious expiratory droplets have fallen, lead to contamination if they enter the body through the mucous membranes, in the mouth, nose or possibly the eyes.
Summation:
Necessary protective measures means wearing an appropriate Respiratory Mask to stop the spread of breath-droplet infections. The spread of Corona Virus infections can occur through speaking, coughing, sneezing, smear infections on objects, body surfaces, food, etc.
